A Qatari plan to penetrate Libyan human rights organizations

The Qatari Ambassador to Libya, Mohammed bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani, held a secret meeting with the heads of legal and human rights organizations in Tunis, with the attendance of the President of Qatar's National Human Rights Committee, Ali Bin Smaikh Al Marri.

The Qatari official called on the organizations to work to undermine the independent civil current inside Libya, reduce its role during the current phase and the upcoming elections, and support the partner organizations of Qatar and the Libyan scene by creating an alliance between the Arab Network for Human Rights, chaired by Qatar, And human rights defenders in Libya.

In addition to working on the rights and legal action on allegations of the arms embargo violation and military support of the Libyan National Army and seeking to condemn and criminalize the regional parties, particularly Egypt, the UAE and Saudi Arabia and prosecute them before the international criminal justice.

The Qatari official called to launch media campaigns aimed at spreading false information about the extent of humanitarian damage, violations and crimes, accusing the supporting countries of the Libyan army and Field Marshal Haftar, organizing meetings with UN, African and European organizations and spreading allegations of crimes and abuses committed by the Libyan army.

As well as the formation of a legal and human rights group to defend the role of Qatar in Libya, in cases brought before the Libyan courts against Qatari personalities and institutions. It was agreed on cooperation protocols between the Libyan civil society organizations and the National Human Rights Committee in Qatar for logistical, legal and material support.
