Doha failed to meet the organization requirements of the 2022 World Cup, after the boycott led to its international isolation due to the gulf state’s terror support around the world, Qatar started searching for an aide to host the international tournament; this aide was Iran.
The chairman of the organizing committee revealed their call for help to Iran, admitting the inclusion of Tehran in the operational plan of the World Cup, but the Secretary General of the High Committee for Projects and Heritage responsible for the 2022 football tournament in Qatar, Hassan al-Thawadi, denied the matter out of fear of US sanctions.
Iranian Mehr News Agency debunked the Qatari official’s lies, confirming that Tehran began actual movements to co-host the next World Cup, the report quoted the Sports Director of Kish Island, Bahram Afsharzadeh, confirming the dictations, as he announced the construction of camps to host teams. The report also said that signing of contracts will take place next week.
