Doha spent $85 billion on financing terrorism

Over time, Qatar’s relationship with terrorism has been built on a solid basis and turned into its largest promoter and backer in the Arab countries. To that end, it has established economic and media centers and institutions to support and promote terrorist thoughts and actions financially, intellectually and informationally in the countries of the region, benefiting from its considerable financial resources.

A report by Al Mezmaah Center noted that there were credible and well-documented reports of terrorist financing carried out by Qatari authorities in a number of areas, but they were unable to quantify and quantify the amounts. The reports and news about Qatar's support for terrorist activities and groups may be only account for 60% of Qatar's support for terrorism or less, which means that since 1995 Qatar has funded terrorism with an estimated $150 billion, $85 billion of which are currently proven. 

In a review of Qatar's support for terrorism, Doha funded terrorist groups with $65 billion during five years, specifically between 2010 and 2015. Qatar also paid nearly $1billion to terrorist groups and organizations in Iraq in exchange for the release of 25 Qatari citizens, including 9 members of the ruling family, who were kidnapped in Iraq during a hunting trip in 2015. Doha paid up to $700 million to security men, Iranian figures and Shiite militias backed by Tehran in 2015 and funded terrorist groups in Sinai, Egypt with more than $100 million.

 The report stated that Doha provided support to the Houthis with a $13 million funding, during its mediation between the Yemeni army and Houthis in 2003. After Houthi’s coup against the legitimate government, Qatar provided substantial financial support to terrorist groups in Yemen.
