The former Emir of Qatar, Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani has met with the Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhar yesterday, March 1st.
The President, in company with some government officials, received Sheikh Al Thani on Thursday at the State House in Abuja.
Those present are the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari; Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, as well as the ministers of state for petroleum resources, Ibe Kachikwu; and that of aviation, Hadi Sirika.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Al Thani was accompanied on his visit to Nigeria by the former Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassem Bin Baber Al Thani, among others.
The visit of Qatar's leaders, who are involved in financing terrorism, comes days after the movement of Boko Haram terrorist attacks in Nigeria, after a new abduction by the movement that hit 110 students from the government schools, while the girls are still missing.
Last year, Foundation for Defense of Democracies said in its report that Boko Haram has received money from Qatari donors through cash couriers. The group has also reportedly made money through fake charities. Financial facilitators have received funding from contacts in Qatar.
