King of Bahrain receives Al Nuaim tribe: We have not forgotten forced displacement

Bahrain's King, Hamad bin Isaa Al Khalifa received a number of the sons of Al Nuaim tribe at Palace Safriya on Thursday. Bin Isa welcomed everyone, and praised the great role in building the national history based on loyalty to their country, which is shared by all Bahraini people.

During the meeting, there were talks about Al Zubarah region and and the rule of Al Khalifa family over the peninsula of Qatar, since the establishment of Al Khalifa’s state in Zubarah in 1762 and tribes swore allegiance to build this nation, which extended to include the entire peninsula of Qatar and its capital.

The Bahraini monarch explained that Bahrain will remain united with its people on the Peninsula of Qatar who share common descent, history and goals, and will not erase from its national memory what the people of Zubarah suffered in the aggression of 1937. “May God have mercy on our martyrs, and the resulting forced displacement,” His Majesty said. "We are one big family. We will never forget the aggression against Zubarah and Fasht Debal, which violated international laws."
