Qatar Airways no longer Barca’s airline

Qatar Airways will no longer be the official airline of FC Barcelona. 

The Qatari company had moved in to cover the vacancy left by Turkish Airlines as the official airline of FC Barcelona in 2014.

This ends a controversial link between Qatar and Barça. The union began in 2011, when Barça began to advertise Qatar Foundation on their clothing. It lasted two seasons before it gave way to the state airline pact.

The sponsorship has always been full of controversy. Qatar is accused of violating the fundamental rights that Barca defends as part of its institutional DNA.
