The statement by the Chadian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday did not elaborate on Chad’s decision to shut down the Qatari embassy in N'Djamena, it just ordered the embassy to stop its work, “which imperils Chadian security.”
Chadian T.V., however, did go into details. “Doha delivered Chadian mercenaries to fight in Libya,” the Chadian T.V. report said. Qatar backs armed Chadian opposition groups that are fighting alongside the Libyan terrorists known as “Saraya Benghazi”. The report also said that these terrorists fight against Libya’s army led by Field Marshall Khalifa Haftar.
Chadian T.V. named Muhammad Hamed and Yuseff Kloto as two Chadian rebels who had fought with terrorists in Libya.
Both admitted practicing terrorism but repented and now recognize Chad as a legitimate state. Chadian authorities reported.
The ex-rebels confessed to participating on the assault on Libya’s oil-rich crescent with Saraya Benghazi. “We agreed with Libyans to join a fight against ISIS, but in reality we were mercenaries fighting against other Libyans without a clear cause,” Kloto said.
Kloto said the Libyans they were fighting alongside wanted to collapse their own country, they were viciously violent, which made him return to Chad fearing these conflicts may spill on his homeland.
The Libyan army had warned that the Qatar-supported terrorists of Saraya Benghazi recruits Chadian mercenaries.
