Qatar can’t secure 2022 World Cup, asking Britain for protection

In a new sign of Qatar’s deficiency for securing the 2022 World Cup which it got the right to host, Doha’s authorities admitted they’ll need a British air cover to provide the required security for those tournaments.

In that concern, the “Daily mail” reported statements of Qatar’s deputy prime minister Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah refer that the British Royal Air Force (RAF) will patrol the skies above Qatar during the World Cup.

Al Attiyah also highlighted that the patrols will be in the framework of a joint cooperation with Doha’s air force.

The newspaper also revealed that the British jets will be from the model of “Typhoon”, referring that the fighters’ main task is to protect tourists and foreign guests who may attend the World Cup matches.
