Qatar has been torn between the Turkish hammer and the Iranian anvil. All of Doha’s foreign policy decisions and relations with other countries are subject to the influence of Turkish and Iranian hegemony, to the extent that the Qatari Emir has become completely incapable of making any decision without consulting Ankara and Tehran, Al Mezmaah Center reported.
This has become a major reason for the escalation of internal differences in Qatar, where several officials reject all Qatari policies, and emphasize the need to return Doha to the Arab ranks and the Gulf embrace. The reports confirm that Iran and Turkey have drawn up plans and programs to remove these nationalists from the political scene and are working to remove them from the sensitive posts they are holding in the state.
There is also another reason behind Qatar’s exit from OPEC; the tripartite agreement between Qatar, Iran and Turkey to build a land line that receives natural gas from Qatar to Iran through Iraq to Turkey, and from there to Europe.
What is more concerning is that all Qatari decisions were in the interest of Iran and Turkey, confirming that these decisions are made by the Iranians and Turks.
