Qatar is pushing Hamas to take its side against the Arab quartet, Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported.

Doha interfered to sow discord between the Palestinian government and Hamas, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir said.

Qatar is dismayed by Hamas moving closer to Egyptian authorities and former Fatah leader Mohammed Dahlan, sources connected to Hamas told Al-Akhbar.

Hamas explained their actions to Doha but the latter demanded Hamas responds to Saudi Arabia’s claim.

Hamas is trying not to submit to Qatar to be able to maintain its relations with Arab countries, which is part of its new policy set by the leader of Hamas in Ghaza Yehia Sinwar.
