In the context of internal stagnation and crises affecting the Qatari economy, the leaders of the army in Doha felt the need to intervene and announce a project to heal the damaged morale by establishing "Tamim Airbase," which was stated by Ibrahim al-Malki, the Deputy Air Force Commander.
Maliki said in an interview with "Talaye" magazine, issued by the Department of Moral Guidance of the Ministry of Defense of Qatar, that there are plans to establish a military Emiri military base in the name of Tamim bin Hamad, and other plans to expand Al Udeid and Doha bases.
He also acknowledged that the massive arms deals to be deployed in the alleged base face a major challenge, in the lack of pilots and technicians at a high level of training and readiness. He revealed that the base will include women enter the experiment for the first time, which reflects zero outcome of the country's professional military capabilities.
