Russian newspaper Argumenty i Fakty has pointed out some facts standing between Qatar and a successful World Cup. 

Doha is simply not suitable for a summer World Cup because of its rough climate, temperature ranges between 40 and 46 c in Doha’s desert climate. Fifa had to postpone the tournament to winter, dismaying football clubs.  

The winter cup coincides with football leagues in Europe and America It would mean cancelling all domestic and continental tournaments. Qatar’s winter cup will also impact 50 national championships worldwide. 

Boring Qatar wants to compete with the last World Cup host: Russia. However, foreign visitors can only swim in limited areas in a suffocating environment and nightlife and entertainment are not welcomed politically.

Not to mention that neighbouring states have severed ties with Qatar because of terror finance as Doha hosts extremists from the whole world.
