Media reports pointed that Sudanese authorities made a new decision and said it shut down Al Jazeera channel in Khartoum and withdrew its work permits on Thursday evening.
Al Jazeera Tweeted on Thursday that The Sudanese security forces informed its director in Khartoum that the Transitional Military Council (TMC) decided to close its office and confiscate all its equipment.
Sudan is the fourth country that bans Doha’s Al Jazeera due to its biased coverage. Egypt has closed the channel’s office at Cairo in 2014, accusing it of publishing false news that ignite violence against the authority.
Saudi Arabia closed the channel office and withdrew its work permit in June 2017, after Arab countries severed their ties with Qatar.
Then in August 2017, Israeli government announced its ban on Al Jazeera reporters from working within Israel.
