Terrified Qatar forced into bad weapon deals

Qatar’s administration spent 25 bln dollars on weapons in 8 months. AFP said Qatar’s minute army renders bought weapons useless in the absence of military threats, but the weapon deals aim at buying partners to face the boycott. 

The weapons include 36 American F-15s for 6.2 bln dollars, 7 Italian warships for 6 bln 24 British Typhoon fighter jets for 8 bln, 12 French Rafale fighter jets for 1.3 bln, the Russian S-400 SAM for 2.5 bln, and the Chinese SY-400 Ballistic Missile System,  a short-range precision-attack ballistic missile system.
