A number of Tunisian experts have criticized Qatar's role in poisoning the political scene and aggravating the situation for the benefit of the Ennahda movement and the former president Moncef Marzouki, stressing that Doha has abandoned Arab unity when it involved in supporting terrorism.

In this regard, Tunisian MP Ammar Amrouseh said that Qatar harmed Tunisia 's political interests when it provided financial support to the Brotherhood to reach power. Al Jazeera contributed to insulting Tunisian public opinion by portraying opponents of the Ennahda Party as enemies of the state.

"There is a committee within the Tunisian parliament that is investigating the Qatari role in mobilizing Tunisian youth to hotbeds of terrorism in Syria and Iraq since 2017. He said that Doha is heavily involved in supporting the terrorist cells in Jebel ech Chambi, in addition to the Okba Ibn Nafaa Brigade, a terrorist organization active between Tunisia and Algeria.

Terrorism in Tunisia has been active since the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood to power in the 2011 elections, where Jebel ech Chambi witnessed the slaughter of 11 soldiers on July 27, 2013 under the presidency of Moncef Marzouki, the slaughter of 14 soldiers in the same place in June 2014 and the assassination of many politicians such as Shukri Belaid (Popular Front, Left), Mohamed Lotfi Nagdh (Nidaa Tounes, Center) and Mohamed Brahmi (Tayyar Chaabi, Nationalist).
