Al Jazeera to open an office in Sana'a

Despite the ongoing boycott led by the Arab anti-terror Quartet since last June, because of Qatar's sponsorship of terror and extremism, Doha keeps dealing with the Iranian armed militias in Yemen.

After killing the former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh by the Houthis, Qatar cooperated with the Houthi militias to open an office for Al Jazeera in Sana’a, according to many Gulf newspapers. 

Under-Secretary of the Yemeni Ministry of Information, Abdu Mughallis, said that Qatari media platforms such as Al Jazeera openly put their weight behind the Houthis as part of Qatar’s broader plan to fragment Yemen and the whole region. 

Former President Ali Abdullah Saleh was killed in a shooting on Monday December 4, after switching allegiances in Yemen's civil war, abandoning his Iran-aligned Houthi allies in favor of the Saudi-led coalition.
