Doha misreads Washington's anti-terror message

The US has taken serious steps to neuter Qatari extremism beginning with a Washington-Doha dialogue on combating extremism.

Qatar’s Foreign Minister Mohamed Abdulrahman misconstrued the American action and read it as a strong hit to the Arab boycott.

But tweets by the US Department of State contradicted him and mentioned Qatar’s terror practices and its ties to terror sponsorship.

Doha rejected all terror lists by the Arab quartet and Qatar’s defence minister begged Trump to solve the crisis via a phone call, showing a complete lack of understanding of the magnitude of the crisis.

Doha platforms called the Qatar-US dialogue a diplomatic achievement but the United US-Arab anti-terror stance bared Qatar’s lies.
