FIFA said it needs a ‘plan B’ defined in case the situation does not improve with the Qatari crisis , Mexican newspaper RÉCORD reported.
Reliable sources of the World Organizing Committee of 2026 have been contacted by the top leadership of FIFA to ask them; Would they be ready to move forward in 2022 if the Qatari conflict is not resolved in the short term? The US agreed, and the same goes with Canada and Mexico.
The 'B' plan of FIFA is to make a trade, maintain headquarters in Qatar , but passing it to 2026 giving it more time to resolve its serious diplomatic conflicts, and moving the World Cup to the United States-Canada-Mexico headquarters requested for 2022.
A matter of months to know, a matter of following closely the Arab conflict, that Mexico will live its third World Cup at home, the United States its second and the first for Canada, almost a fact that will be confirmed in the near future.
