Ali Abdullah Saleh, former Yemeni President, was killed today by Houthis near Sanaa. A scene that brings a flashback from the time when the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was brutally killed six years ago, the killing method wasn’t the only similarity, what’s more striking is how similar the paths taken by Saleh and Gaddafi leading to their deaths.
This similarity comes from the fact that both Saleh and Gaddafi allied - at some point - with Al Hamadein (Hamad Bin Jassim and Hamad Bin Khalifa) who control Qatar since 1995, conspiring against the Arab world.
Gaddafi allied with Al Hamadein to assassinate the Saudi Crown Prince at that time, Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz. However, a leaked phone call exposed this Qatari-Libyan conspiracy and it was taken down thanks to Saudi security. The same applies to Saleh, who conspired with Al Hamadein, through Houthis, to undermine Saudi security in the southern region. Again, this conspiracy failed thanks to the Saudi-led intervention in Yemen, which ferociously attacks Houthi militias.
Al Hamadein quickly switched sides against Gaddafi and Saleh, in Libya, Qatar lead the international movement to overthrow Gaddafi in 2011, Doha armed extreme militias that lead Libya into chaos. On the other hand, Qatar marginalized Saleh’s role in Yemen to highlight its other ally Abdul-Malik Al Houthi, in compliance to Iran’s orders.
A Hamadein didn’t stop at turning against its allies, but worked on exterminating them to keep their conspiracies secret forever. Gaddafi was killed by the hands of Qatari-funded militia in southern Libya, and Saleh was killed today by the Doha-backed Houthi militia.
