Inviting the Emir of Qatar to attend the Arab and Gulf Emergency Summits in Makkah on Thursday is only a normal procedure, said former Egyptian Foreign Minister and member of the Arab Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives Ambassador Mohammed Al-Orabi.
In a press statement, Orabi denied any conciliation with Doha without implementing the demands of the Arab Quartet, the most important of which is to stop its support for terror.
Orabi also predicted that Qatar wouldn't attend or will be represented by the Emir, who would attend with his plane and return again, as was the case at the recent Arab summit in Tunisia, pointing out that Doha will face political and economic crises as a result of abonding Arabs and allying with other countries.
"How does Doha ally with a country like Iran seeking to create chaos?" he asked, noting that Qatar lost its strategic depthin the Gulf.
On Sunday, Tamim received an invitation to the Gulf emergency summit in Mecca scheduled for this week, according to the Qatari Foreign Ministry, despite relations between Riyadh and Doha.
