Paradise papers exposed the offshore corruption of the Qatari ruling family members registered with Appleby, the biggest offshore tax evasion company.
Qatar’s Emir Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani is Appleby's agent since 2013, smuggles his money through Qatar Development Fund. His father, Qatar’s former emir, bought a fake company in the Virgin Islands to evade taxes. He also seized the majority of shares in YALIS S.A. and RIENNE S.A. and gave rest to his partner Hamad Bin Jassim.
General manager of Qatar Development Fund Khalifa Jassim Al-Kuwari helped Qatar’s princes transport their assets abroad away from Qataris.
