Turkish Defence Minister inspects occupation forces without his Qatari counterpart
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is mulling sending new Turkish forces to Qatar. Kicked out of the Gulf-Arab embrace because of supporting terror, Doha is looking for a military ally in Turkey.
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister boasted about the intimate Turkish-Qatari relations, this is is quite alarming because Turkey had occupied Qatar and a number of Arab countries in the past, Turkish warm ties with an Arab nation is just barely short of treason on the side of the latter.
The Turkish military base in Qatar, next to the American base, is a clear sign from the peninsular oil state that it does need or appreciate the Arab-Gulf mantle, but seeks to strengthen itself with foreign powers that will eventually swallow it alive. Qatar is in over its head, deals with everyone means zero credibility.
