Qatar Emir’s brothers arrives in Kuwait for unannounced visit

The brother of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, today arrived for an unannounced visit to Kuwait, the official KUNA news agency reported.

Middle East Monitor reported. 

“Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, personal representative of the Emir of Qatar and Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al-Thani, arrived in the country with a verbal message from Sheikh Tamim to the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah,” the agency said.

KUNA said that they were received at the airport by Deputy Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs, Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al Sabah, without giving further details.

The Emir of Kuwait is mediating to resolve the Gulf crisis after Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt severed ties with Qatar on 5 June.

The four countries imposed punitive measures accusing Doha of actively supporting terrorism.
