Doha will supply Khartoum with 505 buses as part of a trade agreement, the Qatari Ministry of Transport and Communications announced yesterday.

The ministry said in a statement that the Qatari Minister of Transport and Communications, Jassim Bin Saif Al Sulaiti, met with Sudanese Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Khaled Mohammed Khair, and agreed that Mowasalat Qatar will supply Khartoum 505 buses. No value was given for the deal.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed between Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) and Ato develop the port of Suakin on the Red Sea, making it a key seaport for cargo transportation.

The statement explained that under the terms of the agreement, the partnership will be granted a concession in the economic free-zone that serves joint investment.
