A new Wikileaks document from America shows that Qatar sided with Israel against Palestine and with the Muslim Brotherhood against Egypt.

The document is a secret telegram, sent by then US ambassador to Qatar Joseph LeBaron to US Departments of State and Justice, that includes a summary of Hamad Bin Khalifa’s meeting with former US secretary of state John Kerry on February 14, 2010, in Qatar.

In it, Bin Khalifa says, “I understand why the Israelis don’t trust Arabs and I don’t blame them, they were under threat for a very long time.” So he clearly accepts all Israeli actions against Palestinians.

“I’m sure Hamas will agree to a 1967 borders agreement but it cannot announce that because it would lose Palestinian public support,” he said and added that Qatar has strong ties with Hamas and that he had previously persuaded the movement to participate in the Palestinian elections based on a request by the Bush administration.

On Egypt and the Muslim Brotherhood he said, “Egypt has a problem with the Brotherhood, we understand that, but Egypt should not expect the world to take actions to help it.”
